Carolines on Broadway is one of the most prestigious and beautiful venues in the country for a standup comedian to perform. I’m proud to say that I’ve stood on that stage many times:
The walk from the green room to the stage at Carolines never gets old. My MO is to stand in the back and watch the show, but it’s all too easy to get engrossed in conversation with your fellow comics and forget there’s a show going on at all! But that’s all part of it.
And so it's inspiring to see in this recent Forbes article, that for Caroline Hirsch — the owner of the club — it’s more than just comedy: https://www.forbes.com/sites/thestoryexchange/2018/07/26/carolines-on-broadway-got-famous-by-discovering-comedy-stars-now-its-founder-is-spotlighting-women/#16c7e9f72bce
If you’re a comedian, do you have a comedy club that feels like a "feather in your cap" for having played it?
If you’re a comedy fan, do you have a favorite comedy club? Why? And more importantly, why not?!?
