I don't normally work on Sundays anymore. That's my time to get my thoughts together, do laundry, some light house keeping, and - if I'm lucky - have John Wick or Jurassic anything playing in the background.
But when Eryca Nolan asked me to be on her Sunday Project Herlarious show at the Hartford Funny Bone I said, yes, because we've been trying to work together for minute now and I forgot how long a drive it is to Hartford. But I'm glad I did. It was a pleasure meeting Lisa Wentworth (we need more church girls like her) and APlusHollywood (My knees regularly give me a curfew, too). And even though it was all too brief, it was nice to see Kat Burdick again. (So hilarious! A baby and a heart attack? Such an overachiever.) {BIG HUG}) I did not expect to see Jess Miller. She had a killer guest set coming off her win at the The Ladies Room Comedy Festival. (I'm still giggling about male mammograms and millennials. But when am I not?) This was the perfect end to a long and wonderful comedy weekend. Thank you, Eryca for producing and hosting such a fun show. By the way, you know it's a Real Show when The Bartender has you fill out a W-9. If anybody needs me, I'll be doing laundry. "Standup comedian and author Leighann Lord is tender and tough, funny and sad, in her evocation of the role-reversal roller coaster ride involved in being an adult child caring for aging parents."
