I just finished listening to the unabridged audiobook of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. It’s amazing how enjoyable a book can be when you’re not being forced to read it. It also helps that I have a way better vocabulary now than I did at 16. I'm looking forward to reading the follow-up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Random thoughts after reading Pride and Prejudice:
- Pride and Prejudice would be a lot shorter if the book were written today. Instead of communicating by letter the main characters would've used email, text, and tweet.
- With all the dancing and letter writing, did anybody in have a job?
- Given Mary's extreme anti-social behavior, is it possible she had Aspberger's?
- Mrs. Bennett was no mommy dearest, but she really could've benefited from a parenting class or two.
- Is Lydia the original Snooki?
- Anybody else see a similarity between Elizabeth Bennet of Pride and Prejudice and Isabella Swan of Twilight?
